Flickering candle in the wind

Posted: August 10, 2010 in Poetry

a flickering candle in the wind,
flapping pages of an unfinished novel,
a can of cigarette butts,
empty whiskey bottles,
the world in an unkempt room,
Those paintings,
Of smiling faces, tearful eyes,
and drunken laughter,
wild verses on the walls,
of love, loneliness, and madness,
singing hymns of a soulful journey,
from birth to youth to death
reveling at the infamy
of an imperfect end!
